With a career spanning catwalks across the world, designing her own clothing line, and her new post as head judge on Britain's Next Top Model, it's safe to say Abbey Clancy knows or thing or two about fashion.

Her style is glam yet accessible, and it's this aspect that Clancy has played upon in her new range for Matalan - her fourth collection for the high street brand, and a range she describes as "perfect for party season."

Clancy's marriage to footballer Peter Crouch has seen the couple become somewhat British tabloid royalty - but the term WAG is one she has never identified with.

"There is no such thing as a WAG uniform," she told HuffPost UK Style . 'There are so many different girls all over the world who are married to footballers and they all look great and have their own individual style."

Clancy admitted she's never been a fan of the beautiful game: "My brother's a footballer and I was dragged to matches as a child, standing in the pouring rain on the sides of fields," she said.

The couple share two daughters, four-year-old Sophia and five-month-old Liberty Rose, and Clancy revealed being a mum has changed her famous fashion sense.

"I can't be walking round in sky scraper heels and mini skirts now," she laughs. "I have to be comfy and practical when I'm with the kids.

"I tend to go for what's clean and hanging up in my wardrobe now, rather than planning outfits. I have got no time for that!"

It's being comfortable that Clancy says is her biggest fashion secret: "My best advice is to avoid trends and just go with whatever suits your body shape," she said.
"If a giant tutu is the biggest thing this season, but it looks crap on you, don't wear it.

"Get a good agency and know what the job entails," she said. "It's not just standing looking pretty for a picture, it's a lifestyle choice - you need to be fit, healthy, and have stamina.

So I put together 5 suggestions on how to make this happen and not make things worse.

1). First thing to do is take ownership of why she left you. Women rarely just dump a guy without reason. Most reasons are the guys fault. Infidelity being number 1. I hope that you did not go there… If you did it will be a lot harder to get her back. The other big reason women leave their boyfriends is they feel the emotional connection is gone. Once again, the guys fault. Guys work hard to get a girlfriend. Then they relax and cruise in the relationship. A successful relationship needs attention and focus. Being best friends and being connected are important parts to staying together. So you need to figure out your part in what went wrong.

2). Now it is time to fix what you broke. That will require some thought and real commitment to a solution that will work for both of you. Once you have a solution, it is time to open a dialogue. This is where many guys mess up. A successful dialogue is not crying, begging, pleading arguing, or creating stress with your ex girlfriend. If you truly want to get your ex girlfriend back you need to be the guy she fell in love with in the first place. Then explain that you understand what happened and you are sorry. Then share with her your solution to the problem and how you two can actually be a better couple now that you understand her needs. This may take a few conversations… Do not rush this part. Be friendly and easy to talk to. No drama!

3). This is a time for you to be available, but do not put your life on hold. Have you ever noticed many times a sale has a call to action or a time limit. This motivates the buyer to act now. How To Deal with Annoying People at the Gym

Of all the things I've written about, the most popular concerns annoying people at the gym. Nothing gets us steamed like the guy who leaves pools of sweat on the bench or the woman who douses herself with perfume right before her workout. And don't get me started on the grunters, the cell-phone yellers and the machine hoggers.
The question is, how do you deal with them? That often depends on your personality and just how annoying the person is. There are a number of ways to confront (or avoid confronting) the perpetrator and choosing the right way can help you get past these annoying people and focus on your workout.

 1. Flattery

You know the old cliché about catching more flies with honey. The same applies at the gym. Most people enjoy a compliment, so use that to your advantage when dealing with an annoying gym-goer:
  • To the person who left 1,000 pounds on the bench press: "You are so strong ... I could never lift that much! In fact, I don't even think I can lift those big plates. Maybe you could help me?"
  • To the person who keeps bumping into you in kickboxing class: "I'm really enjoying your energy. It's almost like you don't even notice other people are around!"
  • To the person who's been on a machine for a half hour: "You know, most people would wonder if you're ever going to finish, but I'm really learning a lot from your technique."


2.  Be Helpful

Some of us, no matter how annoyed we are, can't bring ourselves to confront irritating people at the gym. However, there's a way to use your good manners to nudge people in the right direction without seeming to do so:
  • To the person who left a big puddle of sweat on the seat: "Oops, I think you forgot something. Here, let me get you a fresh towel."
  • To the naked guy in the locker room: "Are they out of towels again? I hate that! Let me see if I can go find some."
  • To the person yelling at their spouse on a cell phone: "You know, it really annoys me when my husband/wife calls me at the gym, too.  I mean, don't they know you're here to exercise?  Geez."

3.  Subtle Sarcasm

Another way to get your point across is with a little subtle sarcasm, although this can be a tricky one if you use the wrong tone of voice or use it with a person with no discernible sense of humor. This should be used with great caution:
  • To the woman who douses herself with perfume: "Wow, that is some amazing perfume. I can smell it all the way over here!" Smack your lips and add, "I think I can even taste it."
  • To the person listening to his iPod with the volume up to 11: "It's very generous of you to share your music with the entire gym. Black Sabbath is it?"
  • To the guy who throws his way-too-heavy weights on the floor: "Gee, did you get that move from the Neanderthal Workout? I heard that's a great way to pull muscles ... I mean, build muscles."

4.  Be Straightforward

To avoid wasting time or energy, one way to deal with annoying gym members is to come right out and state the problem.  Being matter-of-fact can take the sting out of it, which may make the person less defensive.  This approach is also handy when dealing with someone you know - a friend, acquaintance or someone you see at the gym on a regular basis.
  • To the naked guy in the locker room: "Dude, where's your towel?"
  • To the person with bags and equipment scattered everywhere: "You moving in or what?  You know they have lockers here, right?"
  • To the person who's been on the leg-press machine forever:  "Excuse me, is there any chance I can work into your sets or should I move on?"

5.  Be a Tattletale

If you're a non-confrontational sort, your best option may be to talk to the manager to request action. This may not be good in all situations, after all someone who's talking into their cell phone at high volume is annoying, but it isn't life threatening.  However, there are situations where your workout or even your safety is at risk:
  • Someone's hurting themselves or you (e.g., throwing weights, smacking you with a jump rope)
  • Someone has gone past his or her allotted time on a machine and there's a line of people waiting
  • Someone's harassing you in any way
  • You see something offensive (e.g., a person accidentally - or otherwise - exposing themselves, spitting, etc.)

6.Be Passive Aggressive

If you're married or have ever been in any kind of relationship, there's a good chance you've used this tactic with someone in your life. After all, it's a great way to get your point across without having to say a word:
  • To the person who walks away without cleaning up: Loudly throw your towel down and wipe the seat with exaggerated motions while muttering, just loud enough for him or her to hear, "I hate when people leave sweat all over the seat." You can also sigh loudly and roll your eyes within ear/eye shot.
  • To the person who's hogging the machine: Stand nearby and cross your arms over your chest while glancing at your watch every 10 seconds.  As a bonus, clear your throat and shift from foot to foot as you mutter something about how glaciers move faster.

7.  Ignore Them

My favorite approach to annoying gym goers is to ignore them. After all, get a bunch of sweaty people in one place and you're bound to get annoyed ... why ruin your workout over it?  To do this, you'll need a few tricks up your sleeve:
  • Headphones and an MP3 player: The right workout music can block out everything around you.
  • Focus: Remember what you're there for and focus on each exercise you're doing.  Don't let annoying people distract you from your goals.
  • Flexibility: Be prepared to change exercises if there's a machine hog and allow time for putting away other people's weights and cleaning off machines.  You'll waste less energy being angry and spend more on your own workout.
  • Forgiveness: Most people probably have no idea they're annoying. We all occasionally get self-involved to the point where we forget to pay attention to how our behavior affects others. You'll feel a lot better if you forgive, move on and get back to your workout.

How Your Personality Affect Your Eating Habits ?

According to a recent study, your personality traits may greatly affect your eating habits. You may want to ask ,how ?  To answer this, researchers sent out three different questionnaires, one about  personality, one about eating habits, and one about  food choices to a random group of Swiss men and women.  After taking out subjects who turned in incomplete responses, the researchers analyzed data from nearly a thousand participants.  In particular, they focused on five traits -- openness, conscientiousness, extroversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism -- and how they helped define our eating habits.
Unfortunately for extroverts, a larger-than-life personality may prove to be a dieter's Achilles heel. Greatly influenced by external factors like presentation and taste, extroverts were found to consume more meat, sweet foods, savory foods, and sugar-sweetened drinks, potentially because their active social lives keep them out of the house, and often in restaurants.

But that wasn't the only correlation they found. Being open was associated with a higher intake of veggies, high agreeableness correlated with low meat consumption, neuroticism correlated with an increased amount of sweet and savory foods (unsurprisingly, they practiced emotional eating), and, of course, conscientiousness was associated with restrained eating and a lower consumption of sweet and savory foods.

YOU SHOULD NEVER DO ON SOCIAL MEDIA


1) Complaining about your job, co-workers or boss.

While this may seem like a no-brainer, sharing any negative feedback about your current job, employer or co-workers is the number one no-no. Don't doubt that future (and current) employers will raise a red-flag at the slightest jab or complaint via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc. Even a simple "dreading going to the office" or "bored at work" comment is a bad way to brand yourself in any industry.

2) Sharing too much information.

Know where to draw the line between your digital and personal life. Relationship issues, personal problems and TMI tidbits are best kept in private conversation rather than being attached to your personal brand online.

3) Posting all of your partying pictures AboutLastNight.

There's nothing wrong with posting a tasteful, fun photo from a night out with friends but when your Instagram feed or Facebook timeline starts to look like the outtake reel of The Hangover, then it's a problem. Prospective and current employers will find a stream of drinking and partying photos to be a turn-off, even if you think it's "all in good fun" you don't want to be seen as the party animal job candidate.

4) Inserting yourself in controversial conversations.

While it's okay to share your opinion, steer clear of topics or news that could be too controversial—i.e. religion, race, politics. Controversial remarks are a huge turn-off to potential employers and could cost you landing that dream interview.

5) Going on a venting tirade.

It may be tempting to go on a complaining spree via Twitter or Facebook, but you don't want the negatives to outweigh the positives of your online personality. Keep your emotions in check—take a deep breath and think before you send out any bad vibes that may reflect badly on you in the future.

6) Aggressively networking for a job or interview.

LinkedIn and Twitter are great tools to network with other professionals in your industry, but there's a big difference between "networking" and "harassing." Repeatedly sending messages or interview requests to potential employers through social media isn't going to land you a job, it's just going to come off as unprofessional. Use social media to seek out advice or start a conversation, not to beg for a job.

7) Referencing illegal activities.

Another no-brainer, photo or not ("joking" about it via Twitter or Facebook counts too)—anything that you wouldn't do or say in front of a police officer, shouldn't go on social media. Consider it the quickest way to sabotage your own career and personal brand.

" Morning Person"-you are?

Early to bed, early to rise...


Back in grade school, Benjamin Franklin's old saying seemed like a sly attempt to get us to stop complaining about bedtime.

But it turns out Ben was right -- at least about it making us healthy.

If you're a "night person," this is going to be hard to hear.

But a new study has found that night people are at higher risk for several unhealthy conditions. And this is true regardless of the number of hours they sleep.

The study, conducted in Korea, looked at 1,620 participants between the ages of 47 and 59. They were identified as "morning chronotypes" (go to bed and get up early), "evening chronotypes" (go to bed later and get up later), or neither (people who fall somewhere in the middle and don't identify with either extreme).

Then researchers compared the health of the morning and evening groups. They found that:

• Female evening chronotypes tended to have more abdominal fat and an increased risk of metabolic syndrome (a condition associated with the development of cardiovascular disease and diabetes).

• Male evening chronotypes overall had higher rates of diabetes and sarcopenia (a condition in which the body's muscle mass slowly declines).

• Evening chronotypes, though typically younger than morning chronotypes, generally had a higher percentage of body fat and higher blood triglyceride levels.

Even adjusting for age and lifestyle differences such as exercise, drug and alcohol consumption, and so on, the late risers were less healthy overall.

So what's the takeaway?

If you're a morning person, give yourself a pat on the back.

If you aren't, try becoming one. Here are some strategies:

• Decide a standard time you want to get up every day and start making yourself get up then. Set your alarm for that time, and don't hit the snooze button. Even on weekends don't sleep in too much.

• Have a target bedtime as well. After a few days of getting up early, going to bed earlier will begin to feel more natural because your body will be tired. Tune into your body. (Incidentally, research suggests that going to bed by 10 p.m. is optimal because some of the best sleep happens between 10 and midnight.)

• Turn off all electronic screens at least an hour before bedtime

• Design a relaxing evening routine that gets you in the sleep mode. This might include dimming the lights and reading a print book in bed for half an hour. You might also drink a calming tea or take a warm bath.

• Make your bedroom a tranquil place. Keep it clutter free, and get shades or curtains that effectively block the light at night.

• Get out of bed quickly in the morning and start moving. A workout such as stretching, walking, or yoga will help wake and energize you.

• Create a morning routine you enjoy and that sets you up for a good day. This could be a few minutes of meditation, keeping a gratitude journal, or even just drinking a cup of coffee while staring at a pleasant view.

In general, all the things that support you to feel better during the day -- exercise, a healthy diet, a positive attitude -- help you to sleep better as well.

If you're a night person, don't spend one minute feeling bad about it. Instead, just start playing with this pattern. At first, it might take discipline. But before long, having time to unwind in the evening and to get centered and energized in the morning might feel like a real treat.
